About the Role

If you’re the kind of Registered Manager who cares deeply about doing things right; building a small, calm, consistent home where children can truly settle, this opportunity has your name written all over it.

You’ll be leading a 2-bed EBD home in Coalville, designed with the space and structure needed to give young people proper one-to-one support. The home will likely operate as a solo placement, giving you the time and capacity to focus on what really matters: relationships, reflection and outcomes.

You’ll be joining an established provider with 13 other homes, all rated Good or Outstanding with Ofsted. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Register and lead the home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

  • Build and develop a strong, motivated team who feel valued and supported

  • Oversee care plans that focus on progress, education and emotional wellbeing

  • Lead safeguarding practice, ensuring every decision keeps children safe and heard

  • Maintain outstanding standards in daily practice, compliance and leadership

  • Manage budgets and reporting confidently while keeping people at the heart of your work

What You’ll Bring

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or actively working towards

  • At least two years’ management experience in a children’s residential setting ideally at Deputy/Homes Manager/Registered Manager level

  • A clear understanding of Ofsted expectations, the Quality Standards and Regulation 44/45 requirements

  • The ability to inspire, develop and retain a skilled, compassionate team

  • Calm confidence, resilience and genuine curiosity about what helps children recover and thrive

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Flexibility to take part in the on call rota
