About the Role

If you’re an experienced Deputy or Registered Manager who values stability, strong relationships and clear standards, this is the kind of home you’ll want to run.

You’ll be leading a 2-bed EBD home in Duston (NN5) that already has one young person settled and thriving under a Good Ofsted rating. It’s a well-structured home where relationships come first, a space designed for steady, trauma-informed care that genuinely changes lives.

You’ll be part of an established provider with 13 other homes across the region, all rated Good or Outstanding with Ofsted. They’re known for giving managers the trust and resources to do their job properly, no shortcuts, no overreach, just quality practice and a strong team behind you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

  • Provide visible, compassionate leadership that motivates and supports your team

  • Ensure care planning, safeguarding and practice all meet the highest standards

  • Work closely with Ofsted, the RI and other agencies to maintain a Good or Outstandingrating

  • Manage budgets and reporting with accountability and balance

  • Keep the home safe, settled and focused on helping young people make meaningful progress

What You’ll Bring

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

  • Minimum two years’ management experience within a children’s home setting at either Deputy/Home Manager/Registered Manager level.

  • Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, Quality Standards and safeguarding practice

  • A calm, confident leadership style that builds trust and consistency

  • Emotional intelligence, curiosity and genuine care for the work you do

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Flexibility to take part in on call rota

  • Up to £54,500 per annum (plus bonuses)

  • Annual Ofsted inspection bonus: Good – £500, Good with Outstanding in Leadership & Management – £750 or Outstanding – £1,000
