The Role
You’ll hold Ofsted registration and lead the day-to-day running of the centre, balancing operational oversight with hands-on leadership. You’ll guide your team through reflective supervision, nurture a culture of curiosity and accountability, and ensure every family receives high-quality, compassionate support.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing daily operations in line with the Residential Family Centre Regulations and Quality Standards
Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead, maintaining robust practice and proactive communication
Supervising and developing staff through regular supervision, reflection and targeted training
Overseeing assessments, family plans, transitions and placement compatibility
Building strong relationships with local authorities, courts and partner professionals
Maintaining clear, evidence-based records and driving continuous quality improvement
What You’ll Bring
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Proven management experience within residential, family assessment or children’s social care
A confident understanding of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding legislation
Leadership grounded in empathy, structure and high professional standards
The ability to influence, develop and inspire a team
