Registered Manager | Children’s Residential Home (EBD and Learning Disabilities)
Location: Heanor, Derbyshire DE75
Salary: £65,000 per year + up to £10,000 annual performance bonus

You’ll be joining a 3-bed children’s home supporting a mix of EBD and Learning Disabilities. The home is already registered, thoughtfully set up, and currently supporting one young person, with two further placements planned in a considered way.

The team is in place, experienced, and settled. They know the young people, understand the plans, and are ready for leadership that brings clarity and direction.

Behind the home sits a well-established provider operating multiple children’s homes across the region, all inspected under the same high expectations. What this role is really about

This is a role for someone who enjoys shaping a home day by day.

You’ll lead practice in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, keeping safeguarding sharp and care planning meaningful. You’ll support staff development, reinforce good decision-making, and build confident relationships with families, placing teams, education and health professionals.

You’ll sit comfortably between operational detail and the wider picture, trusted to make decisions and supported to do the job well.

Who this suits

You’ll bring Registered Manager experience, and you’ll hold a Level 5 in Leadership and Management, or be close to completion.

Experience across EBD and Learning Disabilities is ideal. More than anything, you’ll be reflective, values-led, and clear in how you lead people. A UK manual driving licence is required.
