MANAGER
Dual Registered Manager
Wellingborough & Higham Ferrers
2-bed EBD Children’s Homes
Up to £65,000 per year (flexible for the right person)
They’re both 2-bed homes, which means you’re not stretched across large numbers. There are currently three young people placed, with care that’s consistent and thought through.
You’re not building homes from scratch.
Each home has a strong Deputy Manager who leads day to day, a full Senior team who understand the young people and the expectations, you also have support that comes from an experienced Responsible Individual and an Ops Director.
This role is about oversight, leadership, and presence. Holding registration across both homes, maintaining standards, developing your team, and making sure each young person’s plan is lived out properly day to day.
It’s also about the small things people don’t always write down.
How the team speaks to each other at the end of a long shift.
How new starters are brought in and supported.
How you notice when something feels slightly off… and act on it early.
That’s the difference in homes that continue to grow.
What they’re looking for
You’ve held Ofsted registration before.
You understand the responsibility that sits with that title, not just the job description.
You’re confident leading teams, but you don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room.
You know how to build consistency, support Deputies, and create an environment where people stay.
You hold a Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
There’s a level of professional curiosity about you, you ask why things are done a certain way, and you’re open to improving them.
What’s on offer
Salary up to £65,000, with flexibility for someone who brings the right experience.
Two well-established homes with Good outcomes already in place.
A structure around you that allows you to focus on leadership rather than holding everything together.
Space to shape how things continue to develop.
This is about stepping into something that’s already working… and making it even better.
If you’ve previously held registration and you’re ready for a role that feels considered, supported, and genuinely focused on outcomes for young people, it’s worth a conversation.
