Residential Children’s Home (EBD)
Location: Lytham St Annes, Lancashire FY8
Salary: Up to £55,000 plus £8,000 performance bonus
The home
A small, therapeutic children’s home where consistency and relationships come first. Three beds, currently supporting two young people. Rated Good across all areas. The model is relational and reflective, with a leadership team that understands practice and gives managers real autonomy with practical support.
The role
You will lead the home and hold Ofsted registration. You will shape a steady, skilled team and keep quality visible in the day-to-day.
Lead operations and compliance to Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
Build and retain a consistent staff team with clear supervision and development
Act as safeguarding lead and coordinate effective multi-agency work
Oversee matching and admissions that protect stability and progress
Run the QA cycle, audits and action plans that drive improvement
Manage budgets, rotas and resources with foresight
Maintain clear, therapeutic records that are inspection-ready each day
Current staffing mixes include 1:1 and 2:1. You will guide the team with calm confidence, keep routines strong, and keep everyone focused on progress for young people.
You’ll bring
Experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting, ideally EBD or SEMH
Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare, achieved or close to completion
Strong safeguarding practice and confident partnership working
A relational leadership style, clear decision-making and steady presence
Full UK driving licence and flexibility for the on-call rota
