Two brand new EBD children's homes are opening in Manchester and Stockport, and the organisation behind them is looking for one experienced Registered Manager confident enough to lead both through Ofsted registration from the very first day. What the role actually involves day to day:

• Leading the full Ofsted registration process for two EBD children's homes, from initial application through to final sign off

• Building staff teams, embedding practice standards and shaping the culture of both homes as they open their doors

• Drawing on the provider's existing good rated home as a reference point for what strong practice looks like in this organisation specifically

• Ensuring safeguarding, risk assessment and care planning are watertight from the first placement onward

• Managing relationships with placing authorities, families and multi agency partners as referrals begin to come through

• Reporting directly into senior leadership on registration milestones, compliance and ongoing development across both sites

What you'll need to bring:

• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or actively working towards it)

• Hands on experience as a Registered Manager within EBD residential childcare, ideally having taken at least one home through registration previously

• The confidence and appetite to build two services simultaneously, treating each as its own project with its own timeline and needs

• Strong working knowledge of what Ofsted expects from a newly registering children's home

• A resilient, hands on leadership style grounded in genuinely trauma informed practice, not just the language of it

• A Full UK Driving Licence
