Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD / LD)
Location: OL8, Oldham
Salary: Up to £55,000 per year + performance and long-service bonuses

This is a brand-new 3-bed children’s home in Oldham supporting young people aged 7 to 17 with emotional and behavioural needs and mild learning disabilities. The home is backed by a provider led by a Responsible Individual with over 35 years’ experience, so you’ll have genuine guidance and trust behind you as you build the service and lead your team.

You’ll have full autonomy to create the culture, set high standards and make decisions that put children’s needs first. The focus here isn’t on ticking off compliance lists; it’s on building a safe, nurturing home where young people feel heard, valued and supported to grow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Holding Ofsted registration and ensuring the home meets and maintains all quality standards

  • Recruiting, leading and developing your staff team through training, supervision and reflective practice

  • Overseeing all aspects of care planning, safeguarding and placement matching

  • Embedding trauma-informed, child-centred care that promotes stability and progress

  • Building strong partnerships with families, schools and professionals to achieve the best outcomes

  • Leading quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement across the home

What you’ll bring

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it)

  • At least 5 years’ experience within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home

  • Confident leadership style with a genuine commitment to children’s well-being

  • Experience supporting young people with EBD and/or LD needs

  • Ability to build and sustain a positive, motivated team culture

  • Full UK Driving Licence
