Registered Manager
Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Quinton, West Midlands
Up to £65,000 per year
This opportunity is to lead a newly refurbished two bed children’s home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs. The environment has been thoughtfully designed to create a nurturing, high quality space where children can settle, build trust and make progress at their own pace.
You’ll be stepping into a service that is operationally ready, with experienced oversight in place and a clear vision for what good care looks like day to day. The focus is on relationships, consistency and creating a home where both children and staff feel valued.
The role
As Registered Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for leading the home through registration and into a strong, well embedded service. You’ll shape the culture from the outset, setting expectations that feel clear and achievable, and building a team that shares your approach to care.
Your role will include overseeing safeguarding, care planning, audits and quality assurance, ensuring practice remains aligned with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. You’ll work closely with local authorities and partner agencies, supporting thoughtful matching and positive outcomes for young people.
Alongside this, you’ll lead and develop your team through regular supervision, reflective conversations and ongoing learning, creating an environment where people feel supported to grow.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have experience as a Registered Manager, or be a Deputy Manager ready to step into registration with confidence. You’ll hold, or be close to completing, the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
You’ll be comfortable leading a team, making informed decisions and maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding. Your approach will be relational, thoughtful and grounded in the realities of residential childcare.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to meet safer recruitment requirements, including an Enhanced DBS, are essential.
