MANAGER

Registered Manager

Therapeutic Children’s Home | Sutton
Girls’ home | 4 beds | Ages 8–16
Salary: £75,000 per year + bonuses

A girls’ therapeutic home in Sutton, supporting children aged 8 to 16, designed with continuity and long-term thinking at its core. Four beds, intentionally sized so leadership stays close to the children, the team, and the everyday moments that matter most.

What sets this home apart is the wider vision behind it; the surrounding properties are already owned, creating genuine scope for follow-on provision as the girls grow older. Fewer moves. Stronger relationships. Better outcomes. This is thoughtful residential care, planned properly from the start.

The role

As Registered Manager, you’ll hold full responsibility for the home’s leadership, culture and quality of care.

You’ll guide a therapeutic team, oversee safeguarding and care planning, and ensure the home operates to a consistently high standard. You’ll work closely with senior leaders who are visible and engaged, alongside local authorities, professionals and families.

This is a role for someone who enjoys shaping services rather than inheriting them. Someone who understands that strong leadership sits in the detail as much as the strategy.

Why this role stands out

This organisation grows carefully, managers are trusted with real autonomy, supported by senior leaders who understand residential care and stay involved.

There is a clear therapeutic approach running through the service, with investment in training, reflective supervision and leadership development. The focus is on creating homes where children can settle, progress and stay connected to the people around them.

The salary reflects the responsibility and experience required. £75,000 per year plus performance bonuses, with genuine scope to grow alongside the service.

Who this role suits

You’ll be an experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy ready to register with confidence.

You’ll bring solid knowledge of children’s residential care, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding practice. You’ll be comfortable leading teams supporting girls with complex emotional and behavioural needs, and you’ll value consistency, structure and relational care.

A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is essential, or you’ll be very close to completion.

What you can expect

Senior leaders who are present and supportive.
Clear expectations and thoughtful planning.
A long-term vision for the children and the service.
A role with influence, stability and purpose.
