Residential Children’s Home (Ofsted Registered)
Location: Wallasey, Merseyside
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per year (depending on experience)

This is a small therapeutic home built around proper relational practice. The team work closely, support one another, and take pride in doing things well. The focus isn’t quick fixes or high turnover, it’s stable, reflective care that helps children rebuild trust and confidence, one day at a time.
The Role
You’ll take on the Ofsted registration and lead the home with both heart and structure. You’ll guide a skilled team who share your belief in consistency, empathy and doing the basics brilliantly.
You’ll:
Register and manage the home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Lead on safeguarding, care planning and daily operations.
Supervise, train and develop staff to maintain a confident, stable culture.
Work closely with local authorities, schools and therapeutic professionals.
Create a home environment where children feel genuinely safe, valued and understood.

What You’ll Bring
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
At least three years’ experience working with children, including two in a management role.
Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding and Quality Standards.
Confidence leading teams through reflection, structure and relational practice.
Emotional resilience, warmth and a steady approach under pressure.
