1 on / 2 off rota | 7:30am start - sleep - 8:00am handover

You’d be supporting two young people with learning disabilities and autism who have already been living in the home long-term, surrounded by a team who know them, understand them, and take pride in doing things well. It’s stable, it’s well-staffed, and it’s backed by a provider who genuinely invests in their homes and their people.

The rota is simple: 1 on, 2 off, with a 7:30am start, sleep-in, then 8am finish the following day. Sleep-ins are paid at £55. If you like consistency, proper routines, and a home where LD practice is done with curiosity and care, this is worth a look.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting two young people through predictable routines, communication tools and sensory work

  • Helping with personal care in a way that protects dignity and comfort

  • Joining in with outings, hobbies and community activities

  • Keeping written records clear, thoughtful and meaningful

  • Working as part of a 2:1 support model, never left alone to manage everything

  • Bringing structure, kindness and a steady presence into each shift

  • Working alongside a close, experienced staff team who genuinely care about the work

What you’ll bring

  • Experience supporting children or young people with LD and/or autism

  • Level 3 Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work toward it)

  • A grounded, reliable approach and a genuine interest in specialist LD work

  • Comfortable with communication differences and sensory needs

  • Thoughtful written recording

  • Full UK driving licence (automatic or manual; either is fine)

Pay, rota & benefits

  • £12.31 to £13.81 per hour (experience & qualifications)

  • £55 per sleep-in (approx. £6,600 per year)

  • Total annual potential: £30,235.20 to £33,115.20

  • 1 on / 2 off rota
