If you believe that change starts with genuine connection, you’ll feel right at home here.

You’ll be part of a small, therapeutic children’s home supporting young people aged 8–18 who’ve experienced trauma and disrupted care. The focus is on building stability through strong relationships, predictable routines and genuine warmth. The team approach care with empathy, curiosity and purpose, giving every young person the space to grow and belong.

What the role involves

  • Supporting young people day-to-day; from school and family contact to health appointments and activities

  • Building relationships through consistent, trauma-informed care

  • Encouraging independence and confidence through everyday progress

  • Contributing to care plans, key work and progress reports that actually tell each young person’s story

  • Keeping records accurate and meaningful; daily logs, incidents, reviews and outcomes

  • Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and genuinely homely environment

What you’ll need

  • Experience in children’s residential care or a related field (youth work, SEN, education, mental health)

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it; funding available)

  • Full UK manual driving licence

  • Reflective, relational approach with genuine belief in every child’s potential

What’s on offer

  • Up to £31,960 per year (inclusive of typical sleep-ins at £55 each)

  • 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays

  • Funded qualifications and proper, face-to-face training

  • Consistent supervision and reflective practice built into your week

  • Progression to Senior and Deputy roles when you’re ready

  • Company pension, Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing perks

  • Refer-a-friend bonus and paid company celebrations

Why this role stands out
You’ll join a provider that’s family-run, values-driven and known for doing things the right way. Homes are small, leadership is hands-on, and support actually feels supportive. It’s the kind of team where you’re known by name and trusted to make a difference.

If you’re someone who values relationships, reflection and doing the job properly, this is a strong next move.
