This is a small, settled 3-bed children’s home that’s earned a Good Ofsted rating (May 2024). It’s calm, well-resourced, and genuinely therapeutic; the kind of place where staff are trusted, supported, and given time to do things properly.

You’ll be part of a close, experienced team who understand that real progress comes from consistency and connection.

  • Supporting education, appointments, family time and everyday activities

  • Helping young people build life skills, confidence and independence

  • Planning and joining in with hobbies, outings and shared routines

  • Keeping records accurate and up to date: logs, risks, safeguarding, care plans

  • Maintaining a homely, well-kept environment where everyone feels valued

  • Following behaviour and safeguarding plans calmly and professionally

What you’ll bring

  • Some experience supporting young people in residential care or similar settings

  • A genuine interest in therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches

  • A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • A natural ability to stay calm, even when things get challenging

  • A valid manual UK driving licence

What’s on offer

  • £13 per hour + £50 per sleep-in, averaging around £27,960 per year

  • Paid induction and ongoing training including trauma, attachment and relational practice

  • Support to gain further qualifications and grow your career

  • Consistent 1:1 staffing, two staff on every sleep-in, and a thoughtful, supportive leadership team

  • A modern, well-kept home with space, structure and proper resources — from the sensory room to the Ford Kuga for school runs and activities

  • A culture that values calm, reflective practice and genuine teamwork

Why this home stands out

It’s not just another children’s home. It’s a small, nurturing space built around trust, reflection and stability. A place where young people feel safe to grow and where staff feel proud of the work they do.
