Senior Residential Support Worker
Solo Children’s Home (EBD)
Location: Desborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £41,310 to £43,728 per year
Rota: 1 on / 2 off

You’ll join a solo children’s home supporting one young person who needs consistency, structure and care they can genuinely rely on. It’s a small, therapeutic environment where every decision matters and where the quality of relationships shapes progress far more than paperwork ever could.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll take the lead on shift; guiding practice, supporting your team and helping to keep the home running smoothly day to day. You’ll work closely with a committed Registered Manager and Deputy, creating a space where safety, trust and emotional awareness are built into everything that happens.
What you’ll be doing
Leading shifts with confidence and clarity, setting the tone for high-quality, therapeutic care
Taking key work responsibilities and contributing to care plans, reviews and risk assessments
Coaching colleagues through reflective practice and strong, relational approaches
Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including incidents, medication and safeguarding
Working in partnership with families, schools, health and social care professionals
Helping keep the home well-presented, nurturing and genuinely welcoming
What you’ll bring
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
At least 18 months’ experience in children’s residential care, ideally in solo or small-group settings
Leadership experience with confident communication and sound decision-making
Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
A thoughtful, proactive approach to reflective practice and professional development
What’s on offer
£41,310 to £43,728 per year (inclusive of 7 average sleep-ins per month at £60 each)
Overtime uplift of +£2.00 per hour beyond contracted hours
Funded Level 5 Diploma after probation
